Five-, six-, and seven-year-olds will be hooked by this delightful audiobook about a little boy who finds adventure after he gets himself a black cape. All superheros need capes, you know. Marguerite Gavin makes Stuart a believable little boy without sounding squeaky. And she invests the adults in his life with voices that reveal character, from a voice that sounds patient and so-grown-up for Mom to a deeper and somewhat odd voice for Stuart's nutty aunt. Gavin's narration is melodious enough to attract children but not so singsong that it might deter adult listeners. The combination makes for perfect family listening. A.C.S.
